Tomorrow we are teaming up against red dots! Make sure to wear your favorite SPORTS TEAM APPAREL as we continue to celebrate GREEN DOT WEEK!

Also, I sent home a science project today! In case you missed it, here are the instructions:

In science we are learning about sound. I am asking each student to create an instrument at home, write about it, and share it with the class.  You can use a variety of materials (tongue depressors, craft sticks, rubber bands, boxes, oatmeal containers, paper plates, beans, rice, tape, string, plastic or paper cups, straws, etc). Here is a link for some more ideas.  https://www.howweelearn.com/spectacular-homemade-musical-instruments/ There are many more ideas from Google. Your child then needs to write about what materials they used and how their instrument makes sounds.  They may use the attached paper. Please help your child use the words sound, pitch, volume, and vibration.  Here are the definitions:

Vibration – a shaking back and forth movement

Pitch – how high or low a sound is

Volume – how loud or soft a sound is

Sound – a noise or tone you hear

Please try to have these complete by Friday, September 29, 2017. Thank you so much! You may start turning them in on MONDAY! Don’t forget to bring in your creative instrument AND the writing piece!
